During class

– What comes first in the learning process: theory or practice?
– The educational process involves theoretical and practical training. They cannot be separated, because theory is ineffective without practice, and practice is ineffective without theory. The curricula are organized in such a way that students, upon entering college, receive significant theoretical training and have the opportunity to constantly hone their skills and consolidate their acquired knowledge in practice. This is mainly due to the fact that the levels of theoretical knowledge among those who come to us vary significantly.
But the main thing for our college is to find a talented child and notice his individuality. Such a person, having entered an art college, can easily receive theoretical basis and fill knowledge gaps in the specialty.
The peculiarity of our educational institution is that our students immediately get involved in the work process immediately after graduation. Our customers tell us this. Such results are due to the fact that the college has very competently structured academic work, where priority is given to the practical part.

Vocal ensemble lesson

– Where do students do their internships and where are they assigned?
– Students undergo practical training and are assigned to various cultural and art institutions. Priority is given to the city of Minsk and the Minsk region. If desired, the children can be sent to work in their areas, where they can work in local creative groups.
The practical form of work should be as effective as possible. Therefore, we choose practice places in such a way that the student can hone his skills in good conditions: where there is staff, where there is decent material base, where the necessary equipment is available, etc.
The brightest guys are assigned to such professional groups as the State Honored Choreographic Ensemble "Kharoshki", the State Dance Ensemble of Belarus, the National Folk Choir of the Republic of Belarus named after G.I. Tsitovich, Honored Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble “Syabry”, Belarusian State Musical Theatre.

– Who is the teaching staff of the college represented by?
– Our students are taught by masters of their craft, the best graduates of the Belarusian state academy Arts, Belarusian State Academy of Music, Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The professionalism, competence of the teacher and his experience in practical activities, as well as sincere dedication to his work are important to us.
The college's teachers are well-known people in Belarusian culture. For example, members of the Belarusian Union of Composers Elena Viktorovna Atrashkevich and Oleg Igorevich Khodosko, the head of the honored amateur group of the Republic of Belarus of the dance ensemble “White Rus'” Anatoly Leonidovich Karpovich, the artistic director of the VIA “Charaunitsy” Olga Vladimirovna Makushinskaya and many other professionals.

– Where can children continue their education?
– For our educational institution, a reason for pride this year was the fact that three of our graduates entered Russian Institute theatrical art - GITIS. Before this, such cases were rare, but now such an indicator directly indicates the level of our training and speaks eloquently about the competence of the specialists who graduate from our college.
If we talk about higher educational institutions our country, then graduates can continue their studies at prestigious universities in the country: the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, the Belarusian State Academy of Music, the Belarusian state university culture and arts, Belarusian State pedagogical university named after Maxim Tank.

– Yuri Alexandrovich, tell us what guys who want to enter an art college should know about the entrance exam?
– Yes, to enter the art college, you need to pass entrance tests, for each specialty they are different. But remember that creative competition– this is not just a colorful show. This is a very important and responsible stage not only for applicants, but also for members of the commission. It determines whether you go to college. Within a few minutes of the entrance exam, committee members should notice spark, talent and personality in the child. We pay attention to how and what the guys sing, how they present themselves, how they communicate, and what is most important to them. After all entrance exams– these are not only creative numbers. It is important how a person thinks, what he “breathes”, what he is inspired by and what he strives for.

Vera ZHIDOLOVICH

The history of the College of Arts began in 1975. In order to train organizers of leisure activities and leaders of amateur art groups for club institutions in the Minsk region, it was opened in the capital cultural and educational school.

In 1990, the Minsk Cultural and Educational School was reorganized into Minsk School of Arts and Culture in order to better meet the needs for specialists in culture and art, to improve their training in accordance with modern trends in cultural development. New specialties are being introduced: theatrical art (puppets), musical education, choreographic art, instrumental performance.

Since 1992, the Minsk School of Arts and Culture has been renamed Minsk State School of Arts. A new specialty has been opened: decorative and applied arts (ceramics).

In 2001, by decision of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, in order to improve the training of specialists for cultural institutions and improve the system of secondary specialized education, the College of Arts was reorganized into the educational institution “Minsk State College of Arts”.

I advise you to think very carefully before going into this area at all. In terms of education, I agree, the teaching here is not excellent, but at a good average level. You will definitely push yourself to enter a university, but others will simply limit themselves to this.
It was difficult to study, because they actually wrote it correctly, you could come early in the morning and leave late in the evening.
It’s also true about being in demand on the market, but it’s also funny. The salaries that will be offered to you are so minimal that your self-esteem simply plummets. This is a profession for the soul, not for making money - that’s 100%.

Fine

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" I generally disagree about bad teachers. They're great here. And even if you come here with a not very good level, you will graduate exactly 2-3 heads higher than you entered.
But the organization of the college is simply gloomy. In the morning there was a constant rush, there weren’t enough piano classes. By the way, different children studied, some had no professional musical training at all, but in 3.5 years you can easily teach everything and become a good professional.
In the morning there are classes in general disciplines, and in the afternoon there are individual and group classes. One can easily spend time in college from 7 am to 9 pm.
Another huge plus is its demand in the market. The salaries may not be huge, but cultural workers are always needed.

I do not like

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" If you want to learn how to sing, draw, play any instrument, then go straight to university. And here I got the impression that only those who were offended by life and did not take work anywhere else work.
When the teacher was asked why you need to sing like this and not like that, the answer was “because I said so.” This is an excellent explanation, and the main thing is that you immediately believe it. As a result, after such questions they begin to ignore you and bully you in all exams. As a result, I barely graduated from this unfortunate college.

Average

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" When I was studying, there was very poor equipment (old, out-of-tune instruments) and the organization of the educational process... All the positive things are associated only with some teachers, if not for them, I would not recommend it at all. I studied pop art - singing.
Upon admission, we were told that there would be a focus on the practical component, but this is not the case. They cram in a lot of theory, but perhaps 10% is left for practice.
If you are lucky, you can get into some good team during the internship, where you will learn something, but if not, then it will be a waste of time.
If you approach any teacher and ask them to explain something or help, they will help you without any problem. Several top teachers work here, I advise you to listen to them and learn from their experience.

I do not like

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" To be honest, I didn’t like studying here at all. Unlike the university later, I didn’t see any interest here. There is no respect for what the students do here. Your work that you did here could easily be found in the nearest trash heap. Really, I’d rather take it home.
I didn’t like the fact that everything was explained very poorly. There is a lot of theory, but a minimum of practice, and personally I perceive theory very poorly, I am a pure practitioner.
Well, what can we say for sure, it’s easy to study here. I didn’t experience any difficulties.

Best

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" I’m happy with my studies at college and I don’t regret one bit that I chose it. The college has an excellent teaching staff and all teachers treat their students with understanding. The main thing is not to skip classes, because then it will simply be unrealistic to deal with this or that topic on your own. I liked my studies and my student years here went quite well.

Good college

Educational Institution "Minsk State College of Arts" An excellent college, where I entered after graduation. I don’t regret that I entered here, because here I received a good education. Created in college good conditions and the teaching staff here is decent.
