The competition is aimed at developing a culture of design and research activities and the innovative infrastructure for its implementation.

COMPETITION STAGES
REMOTE STAGE
At this stage, participants register their works on the portal "School-projects.rf" in the section "Discovery Horizons 2017". To the application, the participant adds a presentation and the text of the work (MANDATORY), a video of his speech for 5-7 minutes, and other materials (DESIRABLE).
The competition experts determine the quality of the submitted works!
Based on the examination, participants receive Diplomas:
I degree (very high quality),
II degree (high quality),
III degree (good quality),
or certificate of participation.

PERSONAL STAGE
Anyone who has registered their work for the competition can take part in it. The following events are taking place at the face-to-face stage.
1) Poster exhibition of works - at the exhibition, participants present a poster and make a message.
2) Work in groups to formulate directions for network projects.
3) Presentation and comprehensive examination of network areas of design and research work. There is a live broadcast (ON-LINE video broadcast).
4) Presentation of Diplomas and certificates for network project developers.

AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COMPETITION.
Participants can continue working on the development of their projects:
1) Within network directions.
2) In the "Workshop" section on the portal "School-projects.rf"
3) Educational organizations can become regional Centers and coordinators of network projects.
4) Materials of competition works can be published on the Portal "School-projects.rf" or in other publications (by decision of the editorial board) that are partners of the competition.

Regulations on the international competition

1.1 Pupils of all types of schools engaged in research activities in the field of science can take part in this competition.

1.2 Age of participants from 7 to 16 years

1.3 Each work must have a scientific supervisor.

2. Goals of the competition.

2.1 The goals of the international competition: identifying gifted schoolchildren and promoting the development of research qualities in the personality of a modern schoolchild.

3. Rules.

3.1 Works covering facts, events, phenomena and individual, previously unknown facts and aspects in these fields of science can be submitted to the competition of scientific research works.

3.2 Computer models and work with economic and legal justification aimed at solving socio-economic problems.

3.3 Works that violate international law, or violate the rights and freedoms of people, or allow students to use equipment that does not meet safety standards, as well as cruelty to animals are not allowed into the competition.

3.4 Works that use substances harmful to life and health are not allowed for the competition.

5. Requirements for registration of scientific research work

5.1 The text is typed on a computer, margin sizes: right 2 cm, left 2 cm, bottom and top 1.5 cm. Font TimesNewRoman 14 point. Presence of paragraphs. Line spacing is single. Sheet size A4.

5.2 Research work consists of two parts: 1 part – theoretical, 2 part – practical.

5.3 The work must have an introduction that states: hypothesis, object of research, subject of research, relevance of the research, objectives of the research (no more than two pages)

5.4 The work must end with a conclusion describing the specific result of the research (no more than 2 pages)

5.5 The volume of work should not exceed 30-35 pages.

5.6 References. Indication of literary sources in the text is mandatory.

5.7 The work must be provided with the necessary tables, diagrams, etc.

5.8 The work must contain an abstract or annotation in two languages ​​(the language in which the work is written and in English).If for any reason you find it difficult to make a correct translation or are not sure about it, we ask you to send it in your native language. The necessary translation will be done by the invited translators of the Organizing Committee.

5.9 Research work must contain:

7. International competition fee

35,-€ (euros) for each participant of the competition. If you have 2 co-authors, the fee is 50,-€ (euro), and if there are 3 co-authors, the fee is 70,-€ (euro). Postage costs for sending the original(s) of DIPLOMAS are included in the fee. The original diplomas are an exclusive option - made with several protections in the form of holograms and covered with laminated printing film.

8. Summing up and rewarding

The results of the competition are summed up by the jury - an international expert commission, which, among the participants in each category, determines the winners in each category - laureates (I, II, III degrees), diploma winners (I, II, III degrees).

Absolute winner

✔ On the day of the end of the intellectual and creative season, from among the winners, the jury selects the best in each competition category and honors them with the title “Absolute winner of the international competition “THE BIG PROGRESS”.

✔ The absolute winner in each category is awarded a medal and an award diploma.

✔ Heads or teachers of institutions of absolute winners are awarded a letter of gratitude (Diploma of Gratitude for each teacher, teacher who prepared a participant in the international competition “THE BIG PROGRESS”).

The final assessment of each participant is formed by summing the assessments of all members of the expert commission for all criteria. The results of the competition are not subject to revision.

There is no quota for the number of prize places.

1. General Provisions

The Regulations on the All-Russian Competition of Design and Research Works of Students “Otkrytie – 2016” (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) determine the procedure for organizing and conducting the All-Russian Competition of Design and Research Works of Students “Otkrytie – 2016” (hereinafter referred to as the Competition).

2. Goals and objectives of the competition

Target:
intellectual and personal development of students through project and research activities, as well as encouraging the best initiatives.

Competition objectives:

  • increasing motivation for cognitive activity of students;
  • development of students' creative abilities;
  • providing students with the opportunity to compete on a scale that extends beyond the educational institution and region;
  • identification of gifted children through project and research activities;
  • identification of the most effectively operating models of pedagogical work at all levels of general education.

3. Organizers of the competition

The competition is held on the initiative of the Open Education Educational Center.

4. Participants of the competition.

Participants in the competition are students of educational institutions at all levels of general education who have completed research or design work under the guidance of a teacher and (or) scientific supervisor.

Participation can be individual or joint. The number of authors of joint development is no more than three.

5. Nominations

For students in preschool institutions within the educational areas specified in the Federal State Educational Standard for Education, the following nominations are distinguished:

The following nominations are allocated for teachers of preschool institutions:

  1. Collective project activities of a group under the guidance of a teacher.

Research and creative works of children of primary school age that go beyond the scope of the school curriculum are accepted for participation in the competition in the following categories:

6. Terms and procedure for holding the competition

The competition is held in two stages:
Stage 1(from 11/23/2015 to 02/07/2016): registration of participants, acceptance of competitive works by e-mail;
Stage 2(from 02/08/2016 to 02/28/2016): work of the organizing committee to evaluate competition materials, determine winners and laureates.

8. Subject and content of the competition.

The subject of the Competition is the design and research work of students. Competition designs must be original, i.e. developed directly by the participant of the Competition.

The competition is held in absentia.

Abstract papers cannot participate in the Competition.

9. Criteria for evaluating competition materials

  1. Clarity of topic formulation, its relevance.
  2. The logic of drawing up a work plan, the completeness of the topic.
  3. Creativity and reasoned point of view of the author, independent assessments and judgments.
  4. Availability of valid conclusions.
  5. Style, language of presentation of material (clarity, imagery, conciseness, vocabulary, grammar).
  6. Registration of work.

10. Awards

  1. Based on the results of the Competition, the expert council determines the winners (I, II, III place) and laureates. There is no quota for the number of prize places. Contestants who are not included in the list of Winners and Laureates receive participant diplomas.
  2. Scientific supervisors receive a certificate of preparation of the participant (winner, laureate) of the competition.

11. Material requirements

  1. Materials for the Competition are accepted in electronic form in Russian. The work of preschoolers and junior schoolchildren can be presented in paper (scanned) form.
  2. Participants of the competition submit design and research works in MS WORD format, file name Last Name (for example, PetrovVV).
  3. The structure of the work should include the following main parts:
  • title page (sample of filling out the title page in Appendix 1);
  • table of contents (items of work are given with page indication);
  • introduction (includes: justification for the choice of topic and its relevance; subject of the project/research; goals and objectives), introduction volume up to two pages;
  • the main part (the content of the problem is revealed; an analysis of various points of view on the problem under study available in the scientific literature; a description and analysis of ways and methods of solving the problem is provided) may consist of several chapters and subsections; the content of the main part must correspond exactly to the topic of the work and fully disclose it;
  • conclusion (contains the results of the work carried out and their analysis, main conclusions);
  • a list of used literature, at the end there are links to Internet resources;
  • the application may include supporting materials; You can provide additional tables, graphs, and figures necessary for a better understanding of the results obtained.
  • Materials are provided in the form of files that must be located in a separate folder (folder name Last Name and Author's name, for example, PetrovVV).

    12. Technical requirements for text files.

    1. The text and abstracts of the competition work are presented in Russian in electronic form in A 4 format with margins: left - 2 cm, right - 1.0 cm, top and bottom - 2 cm in a Word text editor (not lower than Word 97) in font No. 12 Times New Roman, line spacing 1.5.
    2. In tables, you should use only one border style - a solid line (tables should be formatted correctly according to all the rules for working with tables in the MS Word editor).
    3. All hyperlinks in the text must be working.
    4. A list of references and Internet resources should be placed at the end of the document. In the text, references to literature are presented in square brackets.
