Does time really exist? Beware, Science: Does Time Really Exist? Does time exist as such?

I have long been interested in the question of whether time exists and what it really is. How can you touch it, feel it? I'm concerned about the issue of reliability. It is believed that time is the change of day and night. The change of day and night occurs due to the movement of the Earth around the Sun. If there were no Sun, then it would be impossible to measure time using this method. But life on Earth exists thanks to the fact that the Sun is with us today!

Who invented the first clock?
- People

Who invented time?

It turns out that time did not exist before the appearance of people on Earth?

Once upon a time, someone noticed that plants sprout, grow, bloom and dry out. That is, the life of all living things is subject to periods, that is, time. That day gives way to night, and night gives way to day, that even during the day the Sun moves along the horizon. It is convenient to take into account the movement of the Sun across the sky using the cast shadow. This is how the first time control devices were created - sundials.

One of the oldest surviving written documents about sundials, dating back to 732 BC, can be found in the Bible, in the twentieth chapter of the Book of Kings. The sundial of Ahaz refers to the obelisk sundial of King Ahaz, who lived around 732 BC. Discovery of ancient Egyptian sundials from the 13th and 15th centuries. BC indicates that the actual period of the appearance of the sundial was much earlier than it follows from the written monuments known so far.

The principle of a sundial is very simple. The sun rises in the morning in the east, then, as it seems to us, it begins to move across the sky, reaches its highest point in the south during the day and sets in the west in the evening. As the Sun slowly changes its position, the direction of the rod's shadow also changes. In the morning the shadow is quite long and points to the west, in the afternoon it is short and points to the north. When the Sun reaches its highest position at 12 o'clock local time, the shadow is shortest. Then it lengthens again. The position of the shadow can be used to judge the time of day. If you draw a dial around the point where the rod is vertically embedded, then the moving shadow will fall on the corresponding division of the dial every hour, so that you can use it to tell the time, like a wristwatch.

The combination of a sundial with a compass led to the fact that sundials could be used everywhere, and portable, pocket or travel models appeared.

The sundial had one significant drawback: it could only “walk” outside, and even then on the sunlit side. This, of course, was extremely inconvenient. Apparently, this is why the water clock was invented. Water flowed drop by drop from one vessel to another, and how much time had passed was determined by how much water flowed out. For many hundreds of years, such clocks - they were called clepsydras - served people.

In China, for example, they were used 4.5 thousand years ago. The first alarm clock on earth was also a water one. Its inventor is considered to be the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, who lived 400 years BC. This device, invented by Plato to convene his students for classes, consisted of two vessels. Water was poured into the upper one, from where it gradually flowed into the lower one, displacing the air from there. The air flowed through the tube towards the flute, and it began to sound. Moreover, the alarm clock was adjusted depending on the time of year. Clepsydra were very common in the ancient world.

The first hourglass appeared relatively recently - only a thousand years ago. And although various types of granular time indicators have been known for a long time, only the proper development of glassblowing skills made it possible to create a relatively accurate device. But with the help of an hourglass it was possible to measure only short periods of time, usually no more than half an hour. Thus, the best watches of that period could provide time measurement accuracy of plus or minus 15-20 minutes per day.

So, the distribution of day and night occurs differently on Earth. At one point globe one day it’s day, another day it’s night, and vice versa. Somewhere it's day, somewhere it's night. It turns out that the time is different in different places, but that’s how it is. Time and life are different everywhere, each nation has its own values and traditions. On the one hand, Europeans are similar to each other, but on the other hand, they are completely different, for example, from Russians or Japanese. Has the time difference really changed them that much?

The time difference has shaped each nation’s own time, its own sense of this time. There is no doubt that in developed countries more people use their time for other purposes than, for example, in Africa or India. The degree of development of a nation shows the "time difference" with another nation, compare, for example, Europe and Africa. Once upon a time, life around the world was approximately the same, but today people in cities are more developed than in villages. Let's take two people: each is 30 years old, they have lived on Earth for approximately the same amount of time, but one lives in a city, and the other in a village. Each of them today uses their time differently, and a city dweller is ahead “in time” of his rural counterpart. People live in different times and are therefore different.

Any invention should be useful in theory. Why invent it then? Is time useful to people today? There are doubts, so let's figure it out. Today, much of life is organized according to time. Watch faces all over the world tell the time to their owners so they can keep up with everything on time. For example, planes fly, trains depart on schedule, and the working hours of most campaign offices are standardized according to certain hours. Having invented time, people are now forced to obey it; a person cannot refuse the time that his watch shows; refusing time actually means the impossibility of living in society.

Even if people don’t like today’s time, then without it there is simply no life. People need time, otherwise there will be chaos. Society needs time, as it is an integral part of it.

Most people over the years do not like to say their age, many people are not ready to discuss their age, when asked: “How old are you?” You will receive the answer: “What are you talking about! This is not a correct question, you can’t ask it!”

Time always moves forward, and people really don’t like this, because a person always wants to be happy, joyful and energetic. And this is typical only for young people - those who have a lot of time! What does time give to adults? It gives nothing but old age. Time directs a person to act with it. Time binding occurs. Having time for everyone has undoubted advantages, for example, for business. After all, when you start a business, it takes time for it to grow and strengthen. You just need to live for a year or two or three so that the “child” gets stronger, gets on its feet and begins to make a profit.

A person is characterized by memories of past events, and it is easier to talk about them precisely by tying them to time, to a date, and not to abstract point in space.

Tired of activity, a person wants to relax, and of course it is easier to plan a vacation according to time, because we know that the expected date will come and we will be able, for example, to go on a trip.

Having time, first of all, is a social necessity; society and time are inseparable. Time is beneficial to society as a whole, but it is not always beneficial to an individual member of this society.

So, today there is a struggle for time; whoever is faster, wins the pace, makes fewer mistakes or corrects them faster, will win.

However, we must not forget that the measure of time and its keeper is still the Sun. After all, thanks to it, time was actually invented and modern watches were invented.

Many people have probably noticed that recent years As time passes, something strange is happening. Days and months fly by quickly, overtaking our capabilities, and we have less and less time to do. It would seem that the day has just begun, but lo and behold, it’s already ending!

Before we had time to “enter” the third millennium, twelve years had already flown by without us even noticing. The previous explanation of this phenomenon, that, they say, the older a person becomes, the faster his life flies, is no longer relevant. Nowadays, the rapid passage of time is noticed not only by older people, but even by teenagers and young men! So what actually happens over time?

The days have become shorter

In a private conversation, one priest, known for his special gift of seeing the invisible, told impressive information; time has begun to shorten! Compared to what it was a hundred or more years ago, the current day has become shorter. In real, not calendar, duration, if we take the old time that has not changed for centuries as a standard, the modern day lasts only 18 hours versus the previous 24.

It turns out that every day we don’t get about 6 hours, and that’s why we always don’t have enough time, the days fly by at an accelerated pace. The shortening of the day was especially noticeable at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.

One can doubt the priest’s insight and the objectivity of his conclusions. But it turns out there are other facts that indicate a reduction in time.

On sacred Mount Athos, monks even spend their nights in prayer. Moreover, the Athonite elders long ago developed a special prayer rule: in a certain period of time they must read so many prayers, and so on every day, strictly by the hour. Previously, the monks managed to completely complete this “program” overnight, and before the early morning service they even had a little time to rest. And now, with the same number of prayers, the elders no longer have enough night to finish them!

An equally amazing discovery was made by Jerusalem monks serving in the Holy Land. It turns out that for several years now the lamps at the Holy Sepulcher have been burning longer than before. Previously, oil was added to large lamps at the same time, on the eve of Easter. Within a year it completely burned out. But now, for the umpteenth time, there is still a lot of oil left before the main Christian holiday. It turns out that time is ahead even physical laws burning!

The shortening of the day also affected labor productivity. In the old days, using the simplest tools, people managed to do much more than we can now. Archpriest Valentin Biryukov recalls that in the 30s, his father, having returned from exile to his family, with a minimum of helpers, managed to build a new good hut in just a week. And in Boris Shiryaev’s memoirs about the Solovetsky camp, there is an episode of how 50 prisoners, almost half of whom were “walkers,” built and put into operation a hefty bathhouse in just 22 hours! The builders were armed only with hand saws and axes. We now, even with modern electric tools, with all our desire, will not be able to keep up with the hard workers of the past! And not only because they have become lazier and weaker, but also because there is not enough time.

Last times

The last times and the end of the world are only a few years or decades away. No one can speak about this with confidence, but there is a hint in the Gospel: “...For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in places... then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and never will be. And if those days had not been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:7-22).
Some holy fathers, for example, Saint Nile the Myrrh-Streaming, speak about the shortening of the day before the end of the world: “The day will rotate like an hour, the week like a day, the month like a week and the year like a month...”

The problem of the impermanence of time was conceptualized at the intersection of philosophy and theology by the great Russian thinker Alexei Fedorovich Losev. “Considering time according to its essence, as it is given to us in living experience, we state a certain fundamental instability characteristic of the essence of time. It is... heterogeneous, compressible, expandable, completely relative and conditional... Since 1914, time has somehow become denser and began to flow faster. Apocalyptic expectations are explained precisely by the condensation of time..."

Slowing down life

When thinking about the problem of reducing time, you involuntarily turn to the fiction of H.G. Wells. To one degree or another, many of his predictions came true - for example, about the artificial production of diamonds and the creation of bathyscaphes for exploring the ocean depths. Let us remember Wells's story "The Newest Accelerator."

Professor Gibbern has invented a wonderful elixir with which you can change the time for a specific person. When someone drinks the drug, all processes in the body are accelerated hundreds of times, and he manages to do as much in a second as in ordinary life I wouldn't have done it in a few minutes. At the same time, the world around seems frozen, and even the bees move at a snail's speed.

It is clear that this is a fairy tale, but the fairy tale is a lie, and in it...
In the case of our real time, we have something of the opposite effect. For some mysterious reasons, life processes in the world could have slowed down. We breathe more slowly, our heart beats less often, and our cells take longer to regenerate.

Thanks to the slower functioning of the body, we manage to do about 25 percent less for every minute of time than representatives of previous generations did. Accordingly, the worldview has changed, and time in our perception has accelerated and flies by a quarter faster.

But this is just a version, which, by the way, does not explain the example of the lamps at the Holy Sepulcher. It is more likely that time itself, despite its apparent constancy, can “shrink.” What do scientists think about this?

The earth has grown old

Interesting explanations for the variability of time were given by the famous physicist, Dr. technical sciences, Corresponding Member of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, the late Viktor Iozefovich Veinik.

Academician Veinik put forward a scientific hypothesis that time, as a physical phenomenon, has a material carrier - a certain substance of time, which he called the “chronal field”. During the scientist's experiments, an electronic wristwatch placed in an experimental setup he created could slow down or speed up its speed. Based on his experiments with the matter of time, Veinik concluded that there is a temporary field of the planet - the “chronosphere”, which controls the transition of the past to the future.

The scientist looked at the speed of certain processes (he called this the term “chronal”) and came to the conclusion that the intensity of these processes in the world is decreasing - for example, the intensity of the radioactive decay of atoms, nuclear and chemical reactions.

Of all living beings, the highest speed of the body is observed in newborns. For them, all processes proceed quickly - babies grow quickly, gain weight quickly, quickly learn to understand the world... And the life around them, accordingly, seems very slow to them. If a child is only two days old, then for him one day is half his life! And with age, the speed decreases many times. This also affects our perception of time - the lower the intensity of the processes, the faster time flies.

For an older person, the weeks begin to flash by as quickly as the days did in his youth.
But that's not all. It turns out that it’s not just specific people who age. The entire society and civilization as a whole is gradually “decaying”! On our planet, the speed of life processes is steadily decreasing, causing the passage of time to accelerate for everything on Earth.

IN ancient times, at a high speed of processes, life on the planet was literally in full swing - the dinosaurs were the size of a three-story house, the grass was like modern trees, and the process of radioactive decay of the atom was incredibly intense. The first people were also distinguished by gigantism, confirmation of this can be found in the Bible: “At that time there were giants on the earth... these are strong people, glorious people of old” (Genesis 6:4).

Over time, the “violence” of life weakened more and more, representatives of the plant and animal world decreased in size, and the world began to age. Nowadays, the intensity of all processes has decreased thousands of times, and these days we can even feel the slowdown of time happening literally before our eyes.

By the way, even now there are still places on Earth with a slightly increased chronal, for example, Sakhalin Island. The burdocks there are like huge umbrellas, and the grass is the size of a bush. French scientists tried to plant these giants on their land, but failed. A year later, the transplanted giants became ordinary, short and unremarkable plants. And one inquisitive scientist traveled from Moscow to Vladivostok with a radioactive clock and found that the rate of decay of atoms, reflected in the clock, is not the same in different places.

Time compression

Representatives of the occult movement in alternative science - eniology, which studies the patterns of energy-information interaction in nature, society and the Universe, also show keen interest in the problem of time compression. Interestingly, in this area their findings echo the above-mentioned prophecies about Last times.
According to Doctor of Medicine Yuri Lir, real time in the Universe has noticeably accelerated (and we, accordingly, cannot keep up with it). This process began in the middle of the 20th century, when the solar system entered an incredibly powerful flow coming from the center of our galaxy and carrying a huge amount of energy and information in a wide variety of variations. This affected the psyche of every person and people’s perception of the world around them.

There are many theories about changing the course of time, says Lear. - I consider the most convincing opinion of the Soviet scientist, Professor Nikolai Aleksandrovich Kozyrev, who experimentally proved that time is the energy in which the Universe resides. And this energy can change the flow density. According to Kozyrev's theory, if solar system The rotation speed changes, and the time automatically changes.

Where there is more energy, time “decreases”, compresses.
- Alas, we do not feel like inhabitants of the planet and treat our common home, the Earth, worse than ever! - Dr. Lear continues. - Consciousness modern man artificially narrowed and tied to specific point accommodation. He does not feel what is happening to the planet. Hence the lack of responsibility for everything he does at a particular time. As sad as it is to admit, catastrophic phenomena like tsunamis and typhoons are a consequence of people’s attitude towards each other, a terrible price to pay for the unreasonableness of human behavior.

Why did the terrible tsunami waves hit Indonesia and Thailand? I believe that the main cesspool of humanity is located there today. Everything that rich perverts can afford is there. On a gigantic scale and cheaply. That is, these are modern Sodom and Gomorrah. Hence the result. And now it’s the turn of the United States to pay for the decline of spirituality, pride, arrogance and the desire to rule the world...

But despite the water disasters, main danger for modern humanity lies not in water, but in fire.
“There is an increasing amount of energy coming to Earth,” Yuri Lear is sure. - Nowadays, the Sun has increased all types of radiation so much that many of them are no longer amenable to conventional instrumental study! Spectrum solar radiation confidently moves from yellow to white, that is, the luminary is heating up. This is the same fire that the Savior and the apostles speak about in the New Testament. If we combine this with the prophecies in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, with the calendar of the ancient Egyptians and the secret, sacred calendar to the Mayaquiche Indian book “Popol Vuh” (this is the Bible of the Mayan Indians), then it will become clear: very soon we will experience a transition to a new state, to a different time .

For us today, this means one thing: following the calls of the ancient prophets, we need to behave like humans, and not like bestials. There is no place in the future for those who do not fit into the system of moral values! Humanity, which does not want to observe the laws of the One whose creation it is, is doomed...
And yet, under no circumstances should you fall into despair and give up, foreseeing the imminent end of the world! Firstly, the end of everything on Earth is in the hands of God, and “about that day and hour” no one knows except the Creator Himself. And secondly, there is no need to think about the fate of the entire planet - let's think better about ourselves, about our life and our purpose on Earth. After all, only you and no one else will have to be responsible for how you lived your life, whether it is long or short.

What is TIME?

Answer:

Who measures the time?

Time is a flow of energy and information controlled by the Creator. It arises due to gamma-ray flares from some stars, pulsars and radiation from black holes from the sphere of existence and is supplied to the Universe in the form of a huge amount elementary particles, including neutrinos, which are the main carriers of time. In fact, time exists and only it can saturate everything around with energy.

Time comes into our planetary system from the Sun, which draws energy for itself from its flow. From the Sun, time moves in all directions in pulsating portions, jets. The energy of time is around you, passes through you, and through living and nonliving matter on the planet. Time is not a direct quantity, it is multidimensional. The energy of time creates invisible parallel worlds in the form of holograms in the space of the planet. In fact, time exists according to a given program and creates multivariate versions of the future of the planet after each new event in the world. After each new event, a new parallel holographic world is created, as a variant of one of the future developments of the planet.

Creator - Creator with the help of multivariate parallel worlds constantly monitors the future of the planet during his experiments. For civilizations over high level development of time events for the past and future are at one point: “here and now”. They can travel to the past or future telepathically. Sometimes the energy of time can be reflected as light in geopathogenic anomalous zones and, swirling, return to the present, causing chronomirages, and also slow down the speed of its vortex movement. Technocratic time machines have already been created by your civilization, but they are classified and their capabilities are still limited to viewing the past.

There is no time. There is a movement of matter in space, which we perceive as time. Time is the same artificial invention of physicists as energy. After all, energy doesn’t exist either! Energy does not exist “in its pure form”. There is a movement perceived as a measure kinetic energy. There is the height of the body's rise, perceived as potential energy. Eat electromagnetic radiation, which physicists sometimes actually call energy. But this is just a figure of speech. The same as “the kettle has boiled.” The kettle doesn't boil, the water in the kettle boils. Just after Einstein wrote his great formula E=mc2, they began to say that science had established a connection between energy and mass. In fact, with the help of Einstein's formula, it became possible to express any energy in units of mass (kilograms), and any mass in units of energy (joules). No more. And in physical sense the formula established the connection between matter and radiation. Radiation is not energy. Radiation is matter. Matter has three hypostases - substance, field, vacuum. And physicists came up with the fiction of energy to calculate processes. And they got so used to it that they began to perceive it as something independently existing.

So time is just some invented quantity convenient for calculations. There is no energy in the world. There is no time in the world, there is only moving matter. Actually, time is always measured by uniform movement- the movement of the hand in a clock, the pouring of sand in a glass flask, the revolutions of the Earth around the Sun.

But why is time directed? Indeed, in space you can move both to the right and to the left, both forward and backward, but in time - only forward. Why does the arrow of time exist? For the same reason: there is no time. Time manifests itself through the laws of motion of matter. And they are such that some processes go directionally. This, in fact, is perceived by us as the arrow of time.

For example, heat from a hot body is transferred to a less heated one. Why? But purely statistically. After all, heat is a measure of the speed of body particles. Hot, that is, fast particles, hitting cold ones, transfer part of their momentum to them, and the velocities are equalized. Of course, it is theoretically possible that a slow particle will hit a fast one so successfully that the speed of the fast one will increase even more, and the slow one will stop completely. But this is an extremely unlikely spatial combination of speeds and directions of motion (the slow atom “caught up” with the fast atom from behind and pushed it at a certain angle). Most often, ordinary chaotic collisions occur that equalize velocities. So the famous Second Law of Thermodynamics, which prohibits the transfer of heat from cold bodies to hot ones, is purely statistical in nature. And the heat death of the Universe predicted by Clausius is a child statistical physics... This is the thermodynamic component of the arrow of time. There are other components as well.

When two protons collide, a “heavy hydrogen” nucleus, a positron and a neutrino are produced. This is one of those reactions that occurs in the bowels of low-mass stars. Theoretically, all reactions in nature are reversible. But! After the collision, the neutrino flew away from the star at the speed of light - and remember the name. Theoretically, one can imagine a meeting of heavy hydrogen, a positron and a stray neutrino. However, the likelihood of this meeting, firstly, is extremely low. And secondly, neutrinos practically do not interact with matter. This stray particle can easily pierce a lead plate as thick as the Earth to the Sun. So for this reason, the likelihood of a backlash is negligible. That's why stars shine because directed (irreversible) reactions take place in them.

These are completely different times. Of course, science has made tremendous progress in the study of time since then, but to this day scientists cannot say with certainty whether the past, present and future actually exist.

The first scientist who decided to thoroughly tackle this problem was Isaac Newton.

At the end of the 17th century, he decided that it was time to decide what time was. In his famous work “Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy,” he described it as an absolute phenomenon that exists independently of everything around. For Newton, time was linear and orderly, and we sail through it like a ship on the sea, leaving behind the past and rushing into the future. And everything was simple and clear until Albert Einstein appeared on the horizon.

He presented his theory of relativity, which dispelled the myth of time as a universal concept. He stated that there is no way to define events as occurring simultaneously and, not only the perception of time, but it itself is different for each of us. For example, for people moving at different speeds, the present also flows differently. Each of us perceives the concept of “now” based only on our own sensations.

But even if the concept of “now” is subjective, how can we determine what “yesterday” is? Since then, confusion has arisen regarding the issue of time. The situation worsened further when general theory Einstein's relativity, which describes the laws of physics on a global scale, faced quantum physics, studying the smallest particles. Logically, everything in the universe should be interconnected and work according to general laws, and it doesn’t matter what it is: a microscopic particle or a huge galaxy. But that was not the case.

Scientists are already running wild in search of a way to solve this problem. Until it occurred to them that they needed to derive the so-called great unifying equation. Two physicists, John Wheeler and Bryce de Witt, managed to solve this problem, but the resulting equation baffled the entire scientific world.

The fact is that if the equation is correct, then at the fundamental level of matter time, in principle, does not exist, which means there is no past, present, or future.

But Wheeler and Bryce did not see any problem in this: the past and future are only our interpretation of reality and the changes occurring in it, and at the level of photons and protons, time is generally irrelevant.

British scientist Julian Barbour also believes that time is nothing more than our own illusion.

In his book The End of Time, he writes that the universe is a collection of whole, complete, statistical moments. He calls them “nows”.

Imagine a stack of photographs, each photograph is the “now” of the entire universe, a unique set of everything that is in it, from the smallest particles to galaxies, somewhere in there we flash with our memories, plans and hopes. In this world, the past, present and future exist simultaneously, and if all these photographs are put together in an album, a story will emerge. Many modern physicists adhere to similar theory, the so-called block universe. It is actively promoted to the masses by a professor of philosophy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bradford Skow. He is confident that our past, present and future coexist side by side, like many points of one four-dimensional space.

Then why do we perceive time as irreversible and moving forward? The fact is that the brain needs to divide life into certain time periods so that our life is simpler and more understandable, but in nature everything is possible in a completely different way. After all, we cannot know for sure how things are in reality. We only have what our brain produces as a result of information processing. Perhaps there is nothing at all: neither time, nor matter, but there are only our thoughts. But what about our memories of the past, we remember it! The fact is that memories are just our thoughts about what happened. And the thought itself exists now, and not in the past. So is it worth believing memories at all in this case and is it possible to replace them?
